HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LINCOLN IL
242 AM CST MON NOV 29 2010

...ANOTHER ROUND OF RAIN ACROSS SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS TONIGHT...

SOUTHERLY FLOW AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING
INCREASING AMOUNTS OF MOISTURE NORTHWARD INTO THE REGION TODAY.
SHOWERS WILL DEVELOP BY MID TO LATE AFTERNOON...THEN BECOME
HEAVIER AND MORE WIDESPREAD THIS EVENING. A FEW THUNDERSTORMS
WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE.

THE LATEST INDICATIONS SUGGEST AROUND 1 INCH OF RAIN IS LIKELY
ALONG AND SOUTHEAST OF THE I-70 CORRIDOR. THE SOIL OVER MUCH OF
SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS REMAINS QUITE MOIST DUE TO THE HEAVY RAINFALL
DURING THANKSGIVING WEEK. AS A RESULT...THE ADDITIONAL RAIN
EXPECTED WITH THIS LATEST WEATHER SYSTEM MAY LEAD TO RISES ON
CREEKS AND STREAMS...AS WELL AS OTHER LOW SPOTS AND FLOOD PRONE
AREAS.

LISTEN TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR YOUR LOCAL MEDIA FOR THE LATEST
UPDATES ON THIS SITUATION.
